Éco Entreprises Québec holds its annual general assembly : a year driven by optimization

Éco Entreprises Québec (ÉEQ) held its Annual General Assembly at the Omni Mont-Royal Hotel on April 21, 2016. The event enabled ÉEQ to report on activities carried out over the past year and to present its 2015 annual report. After the assembly, Jean Lacroix, President and CEO of Réseau Environnement, gave a luncheon conference entitled “L’après COP21 : la nécessité pour les entreprises d’être au cœur de l’action” (Post COP21: Companies need to be at the heart of the action).

Éric Salvail “recovered”: Follow its progress through the recycling process as a way of understanding the role of ÉEQ and contributing companies

Today, Éco Entreprises Québec (ÉEQ) is launching an advertising campaign to inform communities throughout Québec of the importance and success of the curbside recycling system. Éric Salvail, well-known television personality and new spokesperson for ÉEQ, stars in the campaign, which will appear on television and online. Celebrating its 10th Anniversary in 2015, ÉEQ represents approximately 3,000 companies responsible for financing Québec’s curbside recycling system.

As the representatives of the Away-from-Home Recovery Program, Maryse Vermette, President and CEO of Éco Entreprises Québec, and Mario Bérubé, Director General, Politiques du milieu terrestre et de l’analyse économique at the Ministère du Développement durable, de l’Environnement et de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques, were pleased to highlight the efforts of seven Quebec RMCs and municipalities with regard to away-from-home materials recovery and to award them a total of $138,964.

Submit your Company Report by September 30, 2014 for the 2014 Schedule of Contributions; Last Installment due by September 26, 2014 for 2013 Schedule

Just two weeks are left until September 30, 2014, to submit your 2014 Company Report. That is also the deadline for providing documentation to support your request for a credit for recycled content. September 26 is the deadline for the last payment installment relating to the 2013 Schedule of Contributions, i.e. 20% of your 2013 contribution.

Our sources inform us that a motion to relist Bills 88 and 130 on the Order Paper was adopted this morning by Quebec’s National Assembly. The motion was submitted by Government House Leader Jean-Marc Fournier. The bills will be on the Order Paper when the session reconvenes in mid-March.
