Éco Entreprises Québec organized more than 25 workshops of the Best Practices Initiative for Effective Curbside Recycling in
14 Quebec regions since 2014 near about 250 municipal representatives. Select a region to discover an overview of the meetings and the results. Thanks to all participants!

ÉEQ held workshops on November 27, 2014, in Gatineau and on March 9, 2015, in Chelsea, where 10 participants chose to discuss the following regional issues:

  • Guidance needed to convince elected officials to adopt best practices
  • Harmonization of practices in the region
  • Serving vacationing residents
  • ÉEQ guidance to compile best practices
  • Municipal groupings
  • Institutional, commercial and industrial (ICI) sectors to meet the requirements of updating residual materials management programs
  • Service-based fees
  • Raising public awareness
  • Containers, mode and frequency of collection
  • Performance and efficiency factor
  • Materials recovery program for municipal public places
  • Ecodesign
  • Analysis of request-for-proposal specifications and avenues for optimization
  • Possible measures for updating residual materials management programs
