Less Packaging, Better Packaging

The first strategy proposed by ÉEQ is to optimize the packaging/product ratio.

Over-Packaging

This action consists in finding the ideal quantity of packaging for the quantity of product. Over-packaging is defined as packaging that only increases visibility and sales attractiveness.

On the other hand, under-packaging results when the lack of protection leads to product loss where the environmental impact of that loss is greater than that generated from producing more extensive packaging.
